The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the world’s largest New York-based NGO for journalist rights, pressured the Indian government to drop the charges against Zubair, even though Zubair is not a journalist.

CPJ is heavily funded by the Open Society Foundation.
On the same day, Amnesty International condemned the FIR against Zubair and also asked the Indian government to drop the charges.

How does an FIR against a fact-checker become a human rights issue?
It seems Soros sent a WhatsApp broadcast to his entire team: “Protect my man Zubair.”
Index on Censorship, a London-based NGO campaigning for freedom of expression, also published an article in support of Zubair.
This is the same organization that targeted Elon Musk for giving freedom of expression to X (formerly Twitter) users.
Index on Censorship was founded as the Writers and Scholars Educational Trust. It is also funded by George Soros.
Is Zubair a writer too? I wasn’t aware.
PEN International, a worldwide association of writers founded in London in 1921 to promote friendship and intellectual cooperation among writers, also condemned the FIR against Zubair.
PEN International is also funded by the Open Society Foundation.
How is it possible that the entire ecosystem received instructions to protect Zubair and the OCCRP didn’t?
The OCCRP also published an article in support of Zubair.

A joint letter was published by many global NGOs in support of Zubair. One thing is common among them all: they are all funded by George Soros.
The Digital Rights Foundation, a Pakistan-based NGO, signed the letter in support of Zubair and is also funded by George Soros.
The International Press Institute, a Vienna-based organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of press freedom and improving journalism practices, also signed the letter in support of Zubair.
