Israel vs Triple H: Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthi

Israel and Iran: These two countries have never been in direct war, but a cold war has been ongoing for the last 30 years.

From Israel’s side, it’s Mossad. From Iran’s side, it’s “Triple H” fighting this war. A detailed article:

Whenever you analyze Iran’s geopolitics, it is important to consider events in three different timeframes:

  1. Mohammad Mosaddegh (1951-1953): Iranian nationalist government.
  2. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1953-1978): A pro-American puppet government.
  3. Ruhollah Khomeini (1979 – present): Anti-American Islamist government.

By 1978, Iran and Israel were good friends. Even in the ’80s, they had cordial relations, but their rivalry began in the late ’80s. These were the major reasons:

  1. Anti-American government in Iran since 1979.
  2. U.S. support for Israel.
  3. Israel-Lebanon war in the ’80s.
  4. Fall of Iraq.
  5. Pro-U.S. approach of Saudi Arabia.
  6. Israel-Palestine conflict.
  7. Iran’s ambition to become the leader of the Islamic world.
  8. Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program.

It would be fair to say that a few selfish Islamists have turned the Palestine issue from a humanitarian concern into a marketing tool. Anyone aiming to become the leader of the Islamic world exploits the Palestine issue, and Iran did the same.

On the other hand, Israel cannot tolerate a nuclear power in the Middle East, as it poses a direct threat to its existence.

Therefore, Israel did its best to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear technology, largely through Mossad. Mossad assassinated many Iranian nuclear scientists in secret operations and sabotaged Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran does not have an agency like Mossad, so it funds “Triple H” to take on Israel.

These are the “Triple H” fighting against Israel on behalf of Iran:

First H: Hamas

Hamas is a Palestine-based Sunni terrorist organization that has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007. It was founded by Palestinian Islamic scholar Ahmad Yasin in 1987.

Iran directly funds and trains Hamas.

Second H: Hezbollah

Hezbollah is a Lebanon-based Shia militant group. The group was formed in 1982 with Iranian support during the Israel-Lebanon war. Iran funds and trains Hezbollah, which controls southern Lebanon and has been in direct conflict with Israel for the last 30 years.

Hezbollah is considered one of the most powerful militant groups in the world, with an arsenal comparable to that of a small army.

When the regime change happened in Iran in 1979, many Iranian Islamist leaders were trained in Lebanon, creating a direct connection between the two.

Third H: Houthi

The Houthis are a Yemen-based Shia militant group. They have been fighting against the Sunni Yemeni government of Ali Abdullah Saleh since the 1990s, claiming that the Yemeni government is a puppet of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. The U.S. and Saudi Arabia support the Yemeni government in its fight against the Houthis.

Since Iran is a Shia-majority country, it funds the Houthi militants. The Houthis’ slogan is: “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse the Jews, Victory to Islam.”

A few months ago, a video circulated showing a ship being hijacked by a helicopter in the Red Sea. That act was carried out by the Houthis. They control a narrow passage in the Red Sea, through which 50 ships pass every hour. The sea is only 20 kilometers wide at that point.

These are the “Triple H”:

  1. Hamas
  2. Hezbollah
  3. Houthis

They are fighting against Israel on behalf of Iran, and now it seems that Israel has decided to finish them off.
