It’s a proven fact that movies use many psychological techniques to manipulate public opinion, and all of it happens unconsciously—meaning you’re being brainwashed without even being aware of it.
In this Article, we will explain those techniques. Movies are a very powerful tool for shaping public opinion and building favorable narratives.
How many of you know that, since 1947, there has been a tie-up between the US Pentagon and Hollywood? There is even a dedicated Entertainment Liaison Officer at the Pentagon.
The US Department of Defense supports many Hollywood movies.
Similarly, the CIA has a Liaison Officer for Hollywood and even recruits assets within the industry.
In India, the Army and RAW don’t interfere with Bollywood, but it was previously highly controlled by the KGB and is now influenced by the CIA and ISI.
For the last 70 years, Bollywood has been running a huge propaganda campaign called “Ideological Subversion” (Active Measures).
The purpose is to destroy the self-esteem of Hindus and make them self-loathing. It was started by the KGB and has been carried forward by the CIA and ISI.
For this, they use a technique called Classical Conditioning.
Classical Conditioning is a behavior change technique where an existing response to one trigger is linked with a new trigger. After some time, the new trigger generates the same response that the original trigger was producing.
Still unclear? Let me explain in a simpler way.
Suppose whenever you hear about rape, you feel bad. Here, rape is the trigger, and feeling bad is your response. This is your existing behavior.
Now, according to Classical Conditioning theory, if I can somehow establish a link between rape and Hinduism, the next time you encounter Hinduism, it becomes the new trigger.
This means that whenever you hear or see something related to Hinduism, you will feel bad—exactly as you did with rape.
At this point, rape is no longer in the picture. We’ve simply used the negative feelings associated with rape, linked them to Hinduism, and then removed rape from the equation.
Now, whenever you hear about Hinduism, you feel bad, and you might not even realize why—but you do.
This is the power of Classical Conditioning.
In the next few posts, I will explain how Bollywood uses this.
Bollywood associates rape, murder, and all negative actions with Hindus, while sacrifice, love, and loyalty are linked to Muslims.
For example, a Hindu villain wearing saffron clothes and a tilak commits rape and murder, and you feel anger. It happens again and again. After watching 8–10 such movies, Classical Conditioning takes effect.
The next time you see a man wearing saffron clothes and a tilak on the street or on TV, you feel the same anger that you associate with criminals.
Similarly, whenever you see a Muslim character, you feel positive emotions—loyalty, trust, sacrifice.
For Classical Conditioning to work, 8–10 such movies are enough.
But Bollywood has shown you thousands of movies. Now imagine the level of brainwashing Bollywood has already done—and continues to do.
That’s why Bollywood avoids showing terrorists as Muslims and instead portrays them as Hindus.
I’m sorry to say, but most of you have been victims of Classical Conditioning by Bollywood.
Entertainment is a very powerful medium for brainwashing because, during that time, we are completely relaxed, and our prefrontal cortex has less self-control.
And Classical Conditioning is not the only tool. There are many more, including Subliminal Conditioning, which is even more dangerous.
I will explain that in another thread.
Now that you know about Classical Conditioning, it won’t be as effective the next time they try to manipulate you.
That’s the beauty of psychology.
